The course aims to train Coaches and develop their basic techniques and skills in football. It is designed to educate coaches, to plan, organize and deliver training sessions. Coaches are guided to develop and work on their moral behavior and lifestyle. Adequate training is also provided for the protection of children, on and off the field. The course lasts 11 days and requires both the Practical and Theoretical sessions. Students are assessed on their Practical coaching abilities, knowledge of the Laws of the Game, and learning and understanding of the Theoretical contents of football during the course.

Licensing Criteria

  • All school tournaments and Hero sub-junior and Hero junior league
  • Hero Sub Junior National Football Championship

Assessment

  • 3 practical assessments
  • 2 theory exams
  • 1 Laws of the Game (LOTG)

Pre-Requisite

  • AIFF ‘D’ License
  • It is recommended that candidates practice coaching for a minimum of 3 months before applying for ‘C’ in order to gain suitable experience/self-evaluation.
  • Can be fast-tracked by recommendation of Instructor/Head of Coach Education.

Mode of Delivery

  • Full time-Practical and Theory sessions run during the day and evening including weekends
  • Candidates must attend entire course modules.
  • Delivered locally; organized by state associations and overseen by AIFF
  • Course involves tasks during the course

Cost

AIFF license fees 12500 + organizational cost to be paid to the host state/organization
